Glasgow Kelvinhall giant floor vinyl install for Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games bid
When Glasgow City Council’s 2014 Commonwealth Games bid team were looking for a partner to supply and fit self-adhesive vinyls in all council-run sports centres and swimming pools, they came to AAASK. We surveyed all sites, created branding schemes for each one and organised the artwork design before proceeding to print and installation.
Something special was sought for the Kelvinhall International Sports Arena, Glasgow City Council’s flagship sports venue and hosts of countless international athletics tournaments. It was decided that a huge centrepiece should surprise each visitor to the centre, and with the large area of floor essentially going spare in the foyer, a huge floor vinyl was designed to make the most of the space and opportunity available.
