Celtic FC’s Training Dome

During the cold winter months, frozen pitches can play havoc with training regimes. With our training domes the match will go on.

During the cold winter months, frozen pitches can play havoc with training regimes. Our Training Dome, developed with assistance from Celtic FC, allows training to continue as normal by providing a heated and pressurised structure which can be situated over natural or synthetic pitches. It’s inflatable nature means that it costs a fraction of the initial outlay of a fixed structure, and it also means that it can be packed away during the summer months, freeing up more space for outdoor training.

The dome is heated and pressurised by two giant heater-blowers, and also includes a fibreglass airlock to allow easy access for athletes and ground staff whilst keeping the structure pressurised.

Celtic’s dome will be manned and maintained by AAASK staff until around March/April time, where weather conditions should allow normal outdoor training to restart. Being Scotland however, you never know what the weather will do!
